The standard boom stand carries the zoom pod out over your bench on a single horizontal arm, so the base sits off to one side instead of underneath the work. That matters when the thing you are inspecting is larger than the microscope — a populated board, a fixture, an assembly still in its jig.
The vertical post rises 384mm and the horizontal arm extends 544mm, both in 37.2mm diameter tube. The arm terminates in a 5/8" end adapter, the standard fitting for the 93-003 focus arm and for most third-party focus blocks. The 285 × 260mm cast base is 18mm thick, heavy enough to stay put with the arm fully extended.

The dual arm stand runs the pod out on two parallel arms riding on bearings rather than a single tube. The result is a head that glides where you push it and stays exactly there when you let go — no drift, no sag at full extension. If you reposition the scope dozens of times a shift, this is the stand that stops fighting you.
It ships with the 76mm focus arm already fitted, so it is complete as delivered. The horizontal arms extend 570mm on a 384mm post, and a safety screw prevents the head assembly from dropping if the clamp is loosened while the pod is mounted — worth having when there is a zoom pod on the end of it.

The track stand is the compact option: a vertical column on a flat base, with the focus mechanism built into the carriage. The pod sits directly above the work, which is what you want for smaller parts, and the footprint stays modest enough for a crowded bench.
Because the focus assembly is integral, nothing else is needed to mount a Z45 pod. It is the least expensive route to a working microscope and the usual choice where the samples are small and the scope stays put.
